Nonprofits can apply for arts grants from Community Foundation - May 1 2013

OSHKOSH, WI -- What would summer be without an art fair or concert to attend? Nonprofits can apply for funding for these cultural activities from the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation.

The Community Foundation encourages organizations to apply for grants to fund projects that stimulate creative arts programming in our communities, especially those projects that involve collaboration between arts groups, artists, venues, community groups or residents.

The grants are open to nonprofits with projects or events in Winnebago, Waushara and Green Lake counties, or the city of Ripon. Eligible proposals should enhance arts programs and educational opportunities and/or involve an activity that is open to the public.

Support for local arts grants comes from the Wisconsin Arts Board and the Fund for the Arts, a field of interest fund of the Community Foundation.

In 2012, the Community Foundation awarded $39,060 to 10 nonprofit organizations to support local arts programming.

The deadline to apply is Friday, May 24. Click here to apply online. For further information, contact Amy Putzer, director of programs, at 920-426-3993 or by email at Amy@OshkoshAreaCF.org.
