Foundation awards scholarships to Winneconne students - May 17 2013

OSHKOSH, WI - The Winneconne Area Education Foundation awarded a total of $9,250 in scholarships to 13 Winneconne High School seniors during a ceremony on May 15.

"The Foundation is very proud that we can offer these scholarships to our students," said Mary Koeck, Foundation president. "We know these students have worked very hard both academically and in service to their community."

Scholarship recipients are chosen based on outstanding work in the classroom, extra-circular activities and community involvement.

2013 Winneconne Area Education Foundation scholarship recipients are:

Mitchell Heider, $500, Patricia Ann Barney Memorial Scholarship
Chelsea Mayer, $250, Big Bucks Bass, Cali Boucher for Juvenile Diabetes Scholarship Fund
Ally McDonald, $1,500, Larsen-Winchester Lions Club Memorial Scholarship
Zachary McDonald, $500, Winneconne Wolves Playoffs Scholarship
Emily Mentz, $500, Herman Nimmer Family Scholarship
Cheyenne Rickerman, $1,000, Winneconne Area Education Foundation Scholarship
