Green Lake Basic Needs Fund seeking grant applications - October 9 2013

Oshkosh, Wis. - Nonprofit organizations are invited to apply for grants from the Green Lake Basic Needs Fund of the Green Lake County/Ripon Community Foundation.

Grants will fund programs that address basic needs such as food, clothing and shelter for residents of Green Lake County. The Green Lake Basic Needs Fund supports nonprofit organizations that provide safety net services including shelter, basic medical care and access to nutritious food for the most vulnerable residents in Green Lake County.

In spring, grants totaling $32,500 were awarded to nine area nonprofits. Grants from the Green Lake Basic Needs Fund will be awarded annually in the fall from now on.

The annual Tee It Up 4 Basic Needs golf outing, hosted and sponsored by Magnum Power Products, is the primary fundraiser supporting grants made from the Green Lake Basic Needs Fund.
