|Foundation team grows to include Director of Finance - August 22 2014
OSHKOSH, WI - A desire to do good for the community brought Jennifer Sheahan from the corporate sector to a position with the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation.
"Corporate accounting positions generally have only an internal impact," Sheahan said. "As I learn and grow in this role, I will be involved in the financial decisions that will bring the Foundation and, therefore, the community the most return and success."
Sheahan was hired as Director of Finance in July. In her role, she will direct the Foundation's finance, accounting and investment functions, and provide in-depth analysis, reporting and enhanced oversight of investment performance. The newly created position brings the Foundation's staff to 10.
"Jennifer's financial expertise will help the Foundation build on the stewardship of philanthropy in our community as we continue to grow in asset size," said Diane Abraham, president and chief executive officer.
Sheahan, a Certified Public Accountant, came to the Foundation from Plexus Corp. where she served as Manager-Corporate Accounting & SEC Reporting. Prior to Plexus, she held finance and accounting positions with Alliance Laundry Systems. A Waupun native and University of Wisconsin-Whitewater graduate, Sheahan resides in Fond du Lac with her husband, Dan.
