|Foundation reports $5.67M in grants to nonprofits during FY15 - October 8 2015
OSHKOSH, WI - The Oshkosh Area Community Foundation continues its 87-year legacy of giving with more than $5.67 million in grants to nonprofit organizations during its fiscal year ending June 30, 2015.
"We are fortunate that, as a community, so many generous people live here and care about the quality of life ? not just for today, but for future generations," says Diane Abraham, president and chief executive officer.
"We're proud that the Foundation continues to be a visionary to anticipate our needs, and engages residents and our donors to co-invest in programs and projects that are changing our community."
The Foundation experienced considerable growth during the fiscal year, with more than $5.5 million in individual gifts. In addition, $4.7 million was added to agency funds bringing total contributions to $10.2 million, an increase of $5 million from the previous fiscal year.
"We are grateful to the nonprofit organizations that continue to entrust the Foundation to help them build sustainable support for the future," says Abraham, adding that nearly $3.1 million of the agency fund growth was due to the Oshkosh Public Library bringing its endowment funds under Foundation management.
Donors established 72 new charitable funds, bringing the total to 771. Grants, which supported more than 400 organizations, were up slightly from $5.3 million the previous fiscal year to $5.67 million.
The Foundation's growth and work during the past fiscal year were reported this month with the release of the 2014-2015 annual report. Request a copy by calling 920-426-3993 or email Info@OshkoshAreaCF.org. Click here to view the book online.
