Deadline extended for nonprofits seeking youth program grants - January 3 2011

OSHKOSH, WI – The deadline for nonprofits to apply for youth program and summer camp grants through the Hiwela Youth Fund has been extended to Friday, Jan. 7, 2011.

The Hiwela Youth Fund, a field of interest fund of the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation, supports projects and programs that promote youth development.

Grants are available for a variety of purposes, including:

  • to provide seed money to establish new youth programs;
  • to support activities such as camping, environmental education and outdoor learning experiences;
  • to support existing youth programs;
  • and to fund grants to send needy children to summer camps.
