Basic needs funding available for Winnebago County - February 8 2010

The Oshkosh Area Community Foundation is accepting applications for the U.S. Oil Open grant program, which provides charitable grants to nonprofit organizations supporting basic needs in Winnebago County. Basic needs include food, clothing, shelter and other resources required to maintain a basic standard of living.

The U.S. Oil Open grant program supports projects that address the root causes of poverty in our communities. Grants focus on organizations that have the potential to expand their impact, and efforts that involve partnerships among non-profit, public and private sectors.

To review the grant requirements and submit an application, please visit the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation website at www.OshkoshAreaCF.org. Application deadline is Monday, March 1, 2010.

The U.S. Oil Open grant program is part of the Basic Needs Giving Partnership, a collaboration between the U.S. Oil Open Funds for Basic Needs, J. J. Keller Foundation, Inc., and three northeastern Wisconsin community foundations.
