In addition, the club will provide medical, dental and vision checks for eligible children, as well as clothing and shoes, especially in summer when gym shoes and shorts are needed and fall when winter boots and gloves are needed.

The grants, awarded in June, are distributed by the U.S. Venture Fund for Basic Needs for Green Lake County, a field of interest fund of the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation. The Fund was established at the Community Foundation in 2009 and has since granted $44,000 to charities in Green Lake County.

The Tee It Up for Basic Needs golf outing has been a major contributor to the fund, having raised nearly $130,000. This year's event, set for on July 20 at Mascoutin Golf Course in Berlin, aims to raise $100,000. Magnum Products of Berlin is the major event sponsor. Click here for more information.

The U.S. Venture Fund for Basic Needs for Green Lake County also receives funds from the U.S. Venture Basic Needs Giving Partnership, which is funded by the U.S. Venture Open, J. J. Keller Foundation and individual donors.

Since 1986, thousands of funders, participants and volunteers have helped raise $12.6 million for hundreds of charitable organizations throughout Northeast Wisconsin.
