|Nonprofits can apply for grants to address poverty, basic needs - February 13 2012
OSHKOSH, WI - The Oshkosh Area Community Foundation encourages nonprofit organizations to apply for grants from the U.S. Venture Fund for Basic Needs.
Separate grants are being offered in the Oshkosh area, Winneconne and Green Lake County.
The grant application deadline is March 1, 2012.

U.S. Venture Fund for Basic Needs grants are funded by the Basic Needs Giving Partnership, which includes charitable resources from the U.S. Venture Open, the J. J. Keller Foundation and other partner donors at the Community Foundation.
In 2011, the U.S. Venture Fund for Basic Needs awarded a total $248,000 in grants in the three regions served by the Community Foundation.
General criteria to receive a U.S. Venture Fund for Basic Needs grant include programs that:
Grants are open to nonprofit organizations that serve residents in Green Lake County Winnebago County or Winneconne.
