Grants available to nonprofits serving basic needs in Green Lake County - March 21 2012

OSHKOSH, WI - Nonprofit organizations are encouraged to submit proposals for grants from the Green Lake Basic Needs Fund.

Grants will fund programs that address basic needs, including food, clothing and shelter, for residents in Green Lake County.

The Green Lake Basic Needs Fund of the Green Lake County/Ripon Community Foundation aims to provide funds for nonprofit organizations with a proven record of success in maintaining programs that address the root causes of poverty and prevent people in episodic crisis from developing chronic need.

Basic Needs Grants will not fund individuals, endowment campaigns, political campaigns, programs promoting religious activities and/or capital campaigns.

The Green Lake County/Ripon Community Foundation is a Designated Fund of the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation to benefit charitable organizations in the Green Lake County and Ripon area, including Berlin, Green Lake, Markesan and Princeton.
