Nonprofits invited to attend grant workshop - June 22 2012

OSHKOSH, WI -- The Oshkosh Area Community Foundation will host a workshop for charitable groups interested applying for Community Impact Grants.

Nonprofits are encouraged to attend a workshop at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 28, 2012, at the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation, 230 Ohio St., Suite 100. Director of Programs Cheryl Fowler will provide information about changes to criteria and eligibility requirements and answer questions about the application process.

The Oshkosh Area Community Foundation administers two Community Impact Grant programs, the Focused Grant Program and the Field of Interest Grant Program.

Focused Grant Program proposals may seek $10,000 or greater annual or multiyear grants for programs or projects in Winnebago County that directly address needs identified by the 2011 Southern Winnebago County LIFE Study.

Field of Interest Grants will be awarded to nonprofit organizations seeking $10,000 or less for Winnebago county programs or projects in the following categories:
  • Senior Citizens
  • Environment
  • Crime Prevention
  • Employment Training
  • Nonprofit) Child Care
  • Domestic Abuse
  • Community Beautification

Grants are paid from the Community Impact Fund of the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation and Unrestricted and Field of Interest Funds created by generous donors who gave the Community Foundation's Board of Directors the latitude to address current needs.
