Amy Putzer named Director of Programs for Community Foundation - November 29 2012

OSHKOSH, WI - Amy Putzer has been named Director of Programs for the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation.

Putzer is now overseeing competitive grantmaking programs and seeking opportunities for community engagement initiatives that improve quality of life in the regions served by the Community Foundation.

"I'm very excited to immerse myself in the issues and opportunities facing the region," Putzer says. "I look forward to furthering the Foundation's reputation for collaboration by partnering with our grantees to promote the efficient use of local resources and build each nonprofit's capacity to successfully carry out their mission. Together, we will test new approaches to solving critical community issues."

With past experience as the Thompson Community Center's Executive Director and Vice President of Grants and Community Initiatives at the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region, both in Appleton, Wis., Putzer brings a wealth of knowledge about the local nonprofit industry, as well as about Community Foundation operations and grantmaking.

In her role, Putzer provides leadership and oversight for all grants made through the Community Foundation. More than $4 million in grants were made during the 2011-2012 fiscal year and a total $5.7 million in distributions to community projects and nonprofits. The Community Foundation manages more than 650 charitable funds with $75.9 million in assets.
