President's Message: Partnerships build a community

The Foundation understands what makes a winning team.

The right players come together and each plays an equally important role in achieving a goal.

All across the country, private sector businesses, nonprofits and philanthropy have long played a role in shaping communities built and social environments.

By partnering with other funders, community advocates and municipalities, the Foundation can advance our community and allow more stakeholders to invest in the future. This has never been more important than the past several years with an ever changing economic landscape.

Partnerships and co-investments have propelled our communities’ quality of life in terms of:

  • Investing in youth programs and encouraging multi-sector efforts via Oshkosh4Education

  • Investing in wellness through initiatives like the Weight of the Fox Valley and innovative solutions like the Tri-County Community Mobile Dental Clinic

  • Investing in community development through NeighborWorks and GO-EDC

  • Investing in our residents’ basic needs with support of a housing collaboration and mental health initiatives such as Friendship Place and Catalpa, and

  • Investing in the arts with support for residencies with the Oshkosh Symphony and Oshkosh Area School District

  • Vince Lombardi once said, “People who work together will win, whether it be against complex football defenses, or the problems of modern society.”

The Foundation understands the importance of working together to get things done for the future of our communities. We’re committed to being a team player, for good, for ever.
