Welcome Letter from Our CEO

It is amazing how important scholarships are in a student's life.

That extra bit of help can open doors to future experiences and learning that – literally – can mean the world to a young person.

The Foundation has a long history of supporting education in our community, dating back to our founding in 1928. Today, we manage nearly 200 education-focused funds to benefit students and teachers throughout Green Lake, Waushara and Winnebago counties, and Ripon. The Foundation has supported our local students with more than $12 million in scholarships.

We are proud of that legacy and grateful to each and every donor who has and continues to support scholarships. We hear from students and their families in letters, again and again, how appreciative they are to receive the help.

As you will read in the example of Peggy and Bob Wilms and the Ripple Effect Scholarship, only a small amount of money is needed to start a scholarship fund. The Foundation works with individuals, families, nonprofit organizations and corporations to set up scholarship funds with loving care.

Many public and private school foundations rely on the Foundation to manage other types of funds to enhance the educational experiences for all children. Through these funds, support is granted to teachers, the arts and athletics, technology and the special projects that today's school budgets can no longer accommodate.

To learn how you can support a young person's future and education in our communities, reach out to the Foundation. We look forward to helping you build a legacy for future generations.
