‘Every Dollar Counts’ Charitable Challenge
How have you used your “mystery money” from the ‘Power of the Purse’ luncheon to improve a woman’s life? Didn’t attend? You can still participate. Tell us how you are ‘paying it forward?’
I received $100 at the luncheon and after long consideration of how it might have the most impact, I gave it to a woman in my church who was having problems with her chemo from breast cancer and who couldn't go back to work yet. --Sue, Oshkosh Several months after the luncheon, my friend Carol delivered a huge gift basket to my shop and asked me to facilitate getting in into the hands of a new mother in need. She and her daughter had purcased many of the items from newborn diapers to toys but had also hand made receiving blankets and a sweater set with hat and booties. After a little research the basket was given to the Labor of Love house in Oshkosh. --Elli , Oshkosh After receiving $100 at the luncheon, generous family and friends contributed to this after hearing my idea for its use. We were able to purchase 40 pairs of gym shoes which were donated to the Oshkosh Back to School Fair for local students.--Jane, Oshkosh View AllSubmit Comments
