O4E to report on school district successes and initiatives

Oshkosh4Education invites the community to hear about progress being made in Oshkosh Area School District schools on January 29.

The public school advocacy and watchdog group will update the community on the timeline for Strategic Plan III during its annual report to the community from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Jan. 29 at The Waters, 1393 Washington Ave. The event is free.

“This is an exciting time for O4E and the district, as we prepare to collaborate in gathering information for Strategic Plan III. The Annual Report to the Community will highlight the successes and the challenges that still face the district and the district will report on the initiatives that have been achieved in 2017/2018”, says Trisha Castle, O4E Education Commission Chair.

O4E continues to be a grass roots group looking at how to keep public education in the forefront, to ensure that O4E continues to make the public schools relevant in the community. Connecting the strategic plans of the school district and the city encourages focus on common goals and allows O4E to meet the ever-changing and forward thinking goals of the business community.

“This event will include a call to action from the community to help in gathering important information for Strategic Plan III, scheduled to begin the week of Feb. 11th”, says Castle.

All members of the community are invited to attend this event and copies of the O4E Annual Report will be available for review at the event. The document may be requested after the event from the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation by calling 920-426-3993.
