Foundation Awards Omro Students $68,870 in Scholarships

The Omro Area Scholarship and Education Foundation has awarded a total of $68,870 in scholarships to 18 Omro High School graduates.

Students received scholarship May 22 during a ceremony at the high school. A community-based volunteer committee chose the following recipients based on outstanding work in the classroom, extra-curricular activities and community involvement:

Taylor Gumz: $1,000 – Omro Area Scholarship & Education Foundation Scholarship
Jenna Hanson: $1,000 – Omro Area Scholarship & Education Foundation Scholarship
Andrew Herman: $1,000 – Omro Area Schlp. & Ed. Fdn Schlp.; $2,000 – Judge & Mrs. Wilbur Hurlbut Scholarship
David Maxwell Kallas: $1,000 – Omro Area Scholarship & Education Foundation Scholarship
Rachel Kilgas: $1,000 – Omro Area Scholarship & Education Foundation Scholarship
Curtis Kreutziger: $1,000 – Omro Area Scholarship & Education Foundation Scholarship
Payton Rahn: $1,000 – Omro Area Scholarship & Education Foundation Scholarship
Justin Rife: $1,000 – Omro Area Scholarship & Education Foundation Scholarship
Rochelle Serwas: $1,000 – Omro Area Scholarship & Education Foundation Scholarship
Thomas Soda-Waters: $1,000 – Omro Area Scholarship & Education Foundation Scholarship
Collin Arps: $3,000 – Marie Bullis Barnard Memorial Scholarship
Dawsyn Friedauer: $3,000 – Marie Bullis Barnard Memorial Scholarship
Autumn Davis: $500 – Warner & Laura Bohn Memorial Scholarship
Jacob Kafer: $500 – Warner & Laura Bohn Memorial Scholarship
Cole Tollard: $200 – Stanley A. Butkiewicz Memorial Scholarship
Ryan Smits: $300 – Lewis Deobnick Scholarship
Taylor Lewis: $500 – Kathryn M. Goss Memorial Scholarship
Elizabeth Eichmann: $2,000 – Judge & Mrs. Wilbur Hurlbut Scholarship

The Omro Area Scholarship and Education Foundation includes 26 scholarship funds, which are administered by the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation.
