Showing Your Appreciation

Leaving a legacy is an important piece for many families establishing a fund with the Foundation. Having been instilled with the importance of community service and giving from their grandfather, Brad and Susan Daggett wanted a way to make an impact now, and for generations to come.

The Daggett-Morrissey Scholarship Fund was established at the end of 2018 to support graduating seniors from Omro High School. Having both graduated from Omro High School, the Daggetts wanted to give back to show their appreciation for the quality education they received.

With the rising costs of college tuition, scholarships can play an important role in paying for college. The Daggetts goal for their fund is to help high school graduates make their college decision without regard for cost. By establishing their fund with the Foundation, the Daggetts can start small, but over time, with continued gifts and investment growth, the scholarship fund can play a key role in financing a college education.

“We picked the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation because we were impressed with the organization’s outstanding track record of not just community giving but complete transparency, accountability, and great communication. The OACF made it easy to create the scholarship and we have complete trust in the organization managing the scholarship for generations.” — Brad and Susan Daggett
