Foundation awards Winneconne students $41,000 in scholarships

The Winneconne Area Community Foundation has awarded a total of $41,000 in scholarships to 35 Winneconne High School graduates.

Students received scholarships May 12 during the presentation ceremony. A community-based volunteer committee chose the following recipients based on outstanding work in the classroom, extra-curricular activities, and community involvement:

Aiden Arbaugh: $500 – Harvey J. & Catherine M. Rengstorf, $500 – James Coughlin Leadership Scholarship
Noah Berndt: $500 – Winneconne Roadrunners Scholarships
Sydney Braman: $1,000 – Lola A. White Scholarship, $1,000 – Winneconne Masonic Lodge Scholarship
Allie Butte: $1,000 – Keller Family Scholarship
Gavin Connell: $500 – John Allen Fine Arts Scholarship
Carter Danke: $200 – Winneconne Community School Scholarship
Makenna Dorn: $500 – Don Hale Scholarship, $200 – Lillian Mae Muiller Scholarship
Madalyn Erdman: $1,500 – Dr. Michael & Paulette Olsen Lewis Scholarship
Anna Fahrney: $1,000 – Jack V. Perry Scholarship, $1,000 – Keller Family Scholarship
Ruby Fietzer: $1,000 – Winneconne Masonic Lodge Scholarship
Logan Fink: $1,000 – Winneconne Area Education Fund Scholarship, $1,000 – Keller Family Scholarship

The Winneconne Area Community Foundation, with more than 50 funds and $1 million in endowed assets, was founded in 2013 to serve the residents of Winneconne and the surroundings areas as a charitable giving partner benefitting charitable organizations that serve residents of the Winneconne Community School District, which includes Larsen, Winchester, Poygan, and Butte des Morts.
