Types of Funds
Community Impact Funds combine dollars from generous donors that believe in giving in ways that address ever-changing community needs together. Unlike donor advised funds, the donor does not play an ongoing advisory role in grant making. Committees that represent a diverse selection of board members and community volunteers evaluate grant applications, meet with applicants as needed, and determine the best investments to make our community a great place to live, work, learn, and play.
Community Impact Funds are best suited for donors who:
- Want their gift to have the broadest impact on the community over time
- Are motivated to simply “give back” rather than support a particular cause or organization
- Are considering creating a private foundation for broad charitable purposes
- Want their gift to remain flexible to respond to changing community needs
