The Webster Foundation and Oshkosh Area Community Foundation each gifted $750 to Winnefox for purchases of the Wonder Books for its circulation system to smaller libraries throughout the Fox Valley. This comes after the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation donated $1,000 to the program in 2023.
Over 200 people joined in celebration of local educators and volunteers at the annual Celebrate Education event on Monday, March 11, 2024. Held at the Oshkosh Convention Center, the event awarded $75,000 in grants to more than 60 exceptional educators for innovative programs and projects in the classroom, on the field, and after school.
At Ruth’s Pantry, Mondays are marked by a flurry of activity with at least six to seven volunteers diligently gather food and supplies for families in need. The pantry, a ministry of Grace Lutheran Church of Winchester, is accessible to the community on Mondays from 9-11 a.m. and 4-5 p.m. During these distribution hours, there is a continuous flow of visitors, with individuals from the Winneconne School District and nearby counties who are seeking assistance.
