Grants support programs, projects in Winneconne schools

WINNECONNE, Wis. – Local students will experience new learning opportunities this school year thanks to grants from the Winneconne Area Community Foundation.

“We are fortunate that our teachers are creative and willing to explore new ideas that will enhance our students’ educational experiences,” says Peggy Larson, administrator of the Winneconne Community School District. “These grants are allowing innovative ideas in our schools to become a reality.”

The Foundation awarded $4,700 in grants from a total $16,150 in requests for funding in November from the Winneconne Area Education Fund, including support for projects in literacy, technology education, leadership, health and Norbert Rich School Forest improvements.
