Impact of Scholarships with Winneconne Area Education Fund

Scholarships make a tremendous difference in the lives of the young people who receive them. Thanks to the Winneconne Area Education Fund, and donors like Marilyn Wolff, students like Winneconne High School graduates Shawna Balke and Raenell Engel are pursuing, and living, their dreams. In 2014, WAEF awarded a total $12,250 in scholarships to 16 Winneconne High School students. Scholarship recipients are chosen by volunteer members of the Foundation’s scholarship committee based on outstanding work in the classroom, extra-circular activities and community involvement and awarded each May.

WAEF is part of the Winneconne Area Community Foundation, a nonprofit that serves the residents of Winneconne and the surrounding area as a charitable giving partner, with the mission of attracting and distributing funds to nonprofit organizations in efforts that enhance the quality of life. The Foundation provides a vehicle for donors in Winneconne to support causes, projects or endeavors that benefit Winneconne area. Consider starting a scholarship fund today!
