Winneconne Area Community Foundation awards nearly $21,000 in scholarships

Student Receiving AwardTwenty-three students were awarded a total of $20,850 in scholarships from the Winneconne Area Community Foundation during a ceremony on May 17 at Winneconne high school.

Scholarship recipients are chosen by volunteer members of the Foundation’s scholarship committee, as well as members of a high school scholarship committee. The award criteria include outstanding work in the classroom, extra-curricular activities and community involvement.

Scholarship recipients include:

The Foundation, with more than 27 funds and $1 million in endowed assets, was founded in 2013 to serve the residents of Winneconne and the surrounding area as a charitable giving partner benefitting charitable organizations that serve residents of the Winneconne Community School District, which includes Larsen, Winchester, Poygan and Butte des Morts.
