Match for Mack Campaign aims to raise $20,000 for Oshkosh schools

Oshkosh, WI – The Oshkosh Area School District (OASD) Education Foundation is pleased to announce the Match for Mack fundraising challenge. Starting now through the end of June, Oshkosh community members and supporters of public education have the opportunity to double their donations by participating in this special fundraising opportunity.

A generous donor will match all donations dollar-for-dollar up to $20,000 until June 25, 2018. Donations made to the Match for Mack campaign will help to grow the OASD’s very own Education Foundation endowment fund, in Stan Mack’s name. In addition, and as requested by the donor, 25% of the funds raised will have an immediate impact and will be awarded at the 2019 Celebrate Education event. This means that an additional $10,000 in grants could be awarded to local educators during the annual event if this campaign goal is reached. To make a donation to the Match for Mack campaign, visit OshkoshAreaCF.org or call 920.426.3993.

The OASD Education Foundation Fund was established in 2012, however the Match for Mack campaign is the first coordinated effort to truly grow the fund and create an endowment that will allow for more impactful giving. The fund is unrestricted in its purpose, which allows for maximum impact that benefits Oshkosh students, educators, and schools each year.

“This match is the largest in the history of our education foundation,” said Dr. Kim Brown, OASD Director of Learning. “We are so appreciative of our donor’s commitment to our schools, students, and educators and for their recognition of Superintendent Mack’s incredible impact in our community. We look forward to meeting and hopefully even surpassing this challenge. Oshkosh is not only a generous community, but we have a shared vision for our children and the value of education. This match campaign will allow us to once again work together to ensure that our students are given every opportunity to succeed and to continue building community through education.”

As announced in 2017, Stan Mack is retiring as the Oshkosh Area School District’s Superintendent of Schools on June 30, 2018. During his six years as Superintendent of Schools, Mack has made monumental improvements throughout the district and the entire Oshkosh community. This match campaign aims to honor his work and allow his impact to continue for years to come.

The Match for Mack campaign seeks to raise at least $20,000 for the OASD Education Foundation by June 25, 2018. Between now and June 25, all contributions up to $20,000 will be matched.
