In honor of the Winneconne Area Community Foundation’s 10th anniversary this year, we are highlighting 10 different investments made in our community. One of those was a grant for Water City Jazz Orchestra to work directly with students.
Winneconne Middle School and High School jazz band and choir students had the opportunity to work with Water City Jazz Orchestra with the culmination of a concert, An Evening of Jazz, on April 25 at the Winneconne Community Arts Center. Over 300 people were in attendance at the concert.
Cari Bodoh, Vice President of Friends of Winneconne Music and Performing Arts, shared, “The students and staff were excited that we were able to bring Water City Jazz Orchestra back to Winneconne. They worked with our students during classes, and the students had the opportunity to perform with them in a joint jazz concert. Working with performing musicians gave the students a different perspective, and they had a lot of fun! Thank you to the Foundation for allowing us to provide this!”
WACF supported this project with a grant from the Winneconne Area Community Impact Fund.
